Sylvan’s Grandpa Helfand and Grandma Lily came for a visit on Sylvan’s actual birthday. We had a great time at the zoo, and Sylvan wore herself out running all around looking at the animals. She also got more gifts! Unfortunately Apa was having back pain and couldn’t lift Sylvan up, so Grandma Lily and I had to do the lifting at the zoo. Steve was out of town at the Spokane Lilac Festival Parade, so he isn’t in these photos. I think Sylvan most enjoyed the reptile house, because she was close enough to see the snakes and lizards really well. We were also lucky enough to see a big Chameleon being fed crickets for lunch. That was exciting.
